Hats
Due to their unusual shape and inconsistent seam placement, hats prove to be difficult to screen print. The most common way to
imprint a hat is by the application of a heat transfer or crest. There are many different kinds of hats and as such they may require different
types of transfers. Hats also vary in size and seam placement and this effects the size and placement of any crest or transfer you may
choose to have applied.
Gloves
Gloves have the option to be both direct printed or heat transferred. When screen printing gloves they must be done individually which
can be timely, and as such it is ideal to limit this to a single color. When being heat transferred it is best to take into consideration what the
gloves are made of as they will have multitudes of pressure and heat applied in the process. Heat transferring gloves is ideal for
anyone looking to put a detailed logo on a small surface in a way that is much quicker than screening. Depending on the thickness of the
gloves and the chosen placement up to six gloves can be done at a time.
Jackets
There are many factors that effect the production of putting a design on a jacket, a few of them include; the lining inside the jacket, the
material a jacket is made of, and the placement of the desired print or transfer. If a jacket has a loose, thin inner layer that is not attached
completely to the outer shell of the jacket, it is considered double lined. A jacket that is double lined cannot be screen printed without the
use of a special clamp and thus they are most commonly done using heat transfers. Double lined jackets will often have zippers or
buttons inside them as access for embroidery and screening, this may or may not effect the placement and size of the design you use
based on the type of jacket you have brought in.
Bags
Bags come in all different shapes, sizes, and materials and like jackets some bags may have pockets that are double lined. In order to
direct print a bag the placement you have chosen must be accessible through at least one of the pockets and should not be double lined
as this causes the bag to shift and may blur the image while being screened. When applying transfers to bags it is ideal to be placed on
a wide opening pocket or removable panel, as this makes application easier and more accurate. When choosing your placement and size
you should take into account any decals that may already be on the bag and what they, and the bag itself are made of. Things like rubber
and plastic will melt if pressed with the heat transfer press, and things like metal will not allow the necessary amount of pressure in order to
adhere the transfer to the bag material
